Dear PE Co-ordinator
Last year, we successfully trialled the year 3-4 girls futsal taster sessions. Therefore we will be
offering the programme again this year as part of the SSN offer.
This year’s offer is scheduled for November 13, 20 and 27 in the Sports hall at Lancaster and
Morecambe College.
These are individual dates and schools may attend 1 or 2 of the 3 dates. Each night will be treated as a ‘one off’ friendly tournament.
This will be officiated by our partners at LMC and will be held between 4.00 and 5.30 and is open to
L&HSSN members only.
Teams of 5 will play with squads of up to 7 with rotating substitutes permitted. Games of 7 minutes
are planned which allow us to accommodate the first 6 schools per week who wish to enter on a
first come first served basis.
Competition details are as follows:
● No spectators as they won’t fit in the hall.
● Team of 5 with up to 7 in a squad
● Dates: Thursdays, November 13th, 20th and 27th – you won’t necessarily be required to
attend all 3 weeks
● Venue: LM College Sports hall
● Arrival from 3.50pm with first match kicking off around 4.00pm
● Drop off and pick up from LMC events is off Torrisholme Road at the rear of College.
● Finish time will be 5.15 to 5.30pm. Exact timings and format will be sent out to the
competing schools straight after the deadline date.
● 1 Team permitted per school, you may request a second, but they’ll only be allowed if there
is space & will be first come-first served. When enrolling add your second team then I will
confirm if you have it on deadline entry day.
● Schools should bring their own 1
st Aid kits
● PLEASE MAKE SURE PARTICIPANTS WEAR SHIN PADS AND TRAINERS This is the
teacher’s responsibility to check.
● Please can staff/parents park at the back of College off Torrisholme Road and walk
your teams around to the Sports hall.
The deadline entry date for this tournament is end of the day on Friday October 4th
