DESCRIPTION:Dear PE Co-ordinator \nWe are excited to invite you to the Tag Rugby (League\, not Union!)\, for SSN members only\, with our new partners Wigan Warriors! \nCompetition details are as follows: \n\nThursday 5th February 12.45 arrival for 1.00-3.30\nTeams of 7 on a pitch\, squads of up to 14 (Choose team from 4/5/6). Mixed\, no ratio of boys: girls.\nLM College: On the astro so please bring appropriate clothing and boots or trainers but no metal studs.\nDrop off and pick up from LMC events is off Torrisholme Road at the rear of College.\nNo spectators.\nExact timings and format will be sent out to the competing schools after the deadline date.\n1-2 Teams permitted per school\, but it will be first come-first served. When enrolling book the number of teams requested\, twice for 2 teams etc…\nSchools must bring their own 1st Aid kits.\nSchools should bring their own tags where possible-though we will have plenty of tags available should you need them.\nPlease park at the back of College off Torrisholme Road and walk your teams around to the Sports hall. SUMMARY:SSN yr 4/5/6 Volleyball (first night & booking link)
DESCRIPTION:Dear PE Co-ordinator \nWe would like to offer something new as part of this year’s LHSSN offer. \nWe are introducing mini volleyball for the first time. This will be a 2 week slot held at Lancaster and Morecambe College on February 5th and 12th from 4.00 p.m. and 5.15 p.m. \nThis is open to all year 5/6 children with 2 complimentary sessions. \nWeek 1 will be an introduction to the core skills with drills and practices to develop and understanding of how the game looks. There may be opportunity to test these skills in conditioned mini games. \nWeek 2 will develop these skills further and look at tactics and movement with again some games to conclude. \nAt introductory level\, the activity will use soft balls and badminton courts with teams of 4 (ideally) \nEvent details are as follows: \n\nNo spectators as per LMC Policy- though as it’s after 4pm parents helping with transport can stay in the hall.\nTeams of 4 (school numbers will be determined by the number of entries and it may be possible for schools to bring more players\nDates: Thursdays\, February 5th and 12th \nVenue: LM College Sports hall\nArrival from 3.50pm with activities starting at 4.00pm\nDrop off and pick up from LMC events is off Torrisholme Road at the rear of College.\nFinish time will be 5.15 to 5.30pm.  Exact timings and format will be sent out to the interested schools straight after the deadline date.\n1 Team permitted per school\, you may request a second\, but they’ll only be allowed if there is space & will be first come-first served.
