DESCRIPTION:Dear Sir/Madam\, \nWe are delighted to invite your school to take part in our exciting Quad Kids Athletics Event\, designed to be inclusive\, competitive\, and enjoyable for all participants. The event will take place on 29th April 2026 at the University of Cumbria\, Lancaster Campus\, and will be supported by university sports students and Barry Robson- LHSSN is also supporting the event. \nThis event offers something a little different. It encourages participation for all pupils while still providing a competitive and rewarding experience. Most importantly\, it offers an opportunity for new children to represent your school. \nQuad Kids is primarily a team-based quadrathlon competition. Individual performances are scored using a points system\, with the winning team being the one that achieves the highest overall cumulative score. Pupils will have the opportunity to develop both new and existing skills by taking part in the following events: \n\nSprints – Distances are age dependant\n• Runs – Distances are age dependant\n• Standing Long Jump\n• Mini Vortex Howler Throw\n\nThe event not only supports the development of fundamental athletic skills but also recognises and rewards team and school achievement. \nKey Information \nDate: 29th April 2026\nVenue: University of Cumbria Sports Complex (Sports Hall) with the main event on the astro (weather allowing)\nParking: Available onsite or on Coulston Road \nEvent Timings \nYear 2 & 3\nArrival: 9:30am – 9:45am\nStart Time: 10:00am\nFinish Time: 12:00pm \nYear 5 & 6 (LHSSN Lancashire Games Qualifier)\nArrival: 12:30pm – 12:45pm\nStart Time: 1:00pm\nFinish Time: 3:00pm \nTeam Entry:\nSchools should enter single-gender teams of 5 pupils.
