At Over Wyresdale Parish Hall\, Abbeystead\, 09:30-14:30 \nThis course aims to show Teachers and support staff how lessons can be taken outside\, made more active and to make the most of your outside space. With games\, curriculum links and Outdoor Education activities\, as well as lots of practical examples and ideas. \nThe course will be a mixture of theory and practice so please dress appropriately. Please bring walking boots and or wellies as some of the practical will be outside! \nSchools can send 2 members of staff each and there is also an option to hold a version of the course at your school for our inset fee. \nTeas and coffees will be provided. DESCRIPTION:Booking for: Friday 14th March 2025 9:45-11:45 (Session 1- Morning slot) \n  \nWe would like to invite your school to our \nLHSSN Sports Leadership Development Session- year 4/5/6 \nUniversity of Cumbria Sports Complex \non Friday 14th March \nChoose your slot AM or PM. \n  \nLHSSN are delivering a sports leadership development session for your yr 4/5/6 pupils with support from the sports students from the University of Cumbria. It is an opportunity for pupils to work on leadership\, communication\, teamwork\, problem-solving and resilience type games and develop those all-important life skills. Hopefully\, they can also then support your school’s sport and activity offer. \nThey will move around a series of stations with other schools and have a go at each area. Please ensure you let us know how many pupils\, approximately\, you plan on bringing so we can allocate groups\, between 2-6 pupils from yr 4/5/6 (1 team per school)These may be your current\, or prospective\, sports leaders\, or a different group of pupils that you simply think would benefit from this type of activity. \n  \nSummary: \n\nPupils need appropriate PE kit\, trainers and a drink. Some of the sessions will be outside and it may well be raining!\nSchools should bring their own first aid kits.\nPlease arrive as close to your slot time as possible. Any problems please let us know.\nMinibuses can drop off at the sports centre entrance. Parking on campus for minibuses or\ncoaches needs to be made in advance via mark.christie@cumbria.ac.uk & Adrienne Waldie:\nadrienne.waldie@cumbria.ac.uk. DESCRIPTION:Booking for: Thursday 27th February 1:15-3:15 \nSSN schools only. \nWe would like to invite your school to our \nReception/yr 1 Gross & Fine Motorskills event \nUniversity of Cumbria Sports Complex \non Thursday 27th February 2025 \n  \nWe thank you for your continued support and feedback\, we noted that you would like more events for younger pupils! So\, in addition to our Christmas Multiskills\, we have now booked in a Multiskills event focusing on Gross & Fine\nMotorskills… and obviously getting the children active and having fun! \nThe event will be supported by University of Cumbria sports students with delivering a Reception & Year 1\nmultiskills event. Something a little different! This is purely a fun event with no overall winners but is a chance\nto give new children a chance to represent your school\, perhaps those that struggle sitting upright or holding a\npen\, or even just have some active fun! \nMixed teams of 1-8 pupils from year R&1. 1 team per school. Please specify the numbers expected on your\nbooking. No minimum numbers/ratio of boys/girls. \nSummary: \n\nDate: Thursday 27th February\nArrival from 1.00 for 1.15 start until 3.15\nVenue- University of Cumbria Sports Complex\, sportshall.
