DESCRIPTION:Booking for SSN Mental Wellbeing Leaders: Friday 21st March 11.45-2:45 \n  \nWe will be hosting a mental health & wellbeing session for your yr 5/6 pupils with support from the sports students from the University of Cumbria\, Sports Complex. It is an opportunity for pupils to work on growth mind-set\, communication\, teamwork\, defining mental health & wellbeing and developing those all-important life skills. Hopefully\, they can also then support your school’s sport and activity offer. \nThey will move around a series of stations with other schools and have a go at each area. Please ensure you let us know how many pupils\, approximately\, you plan on bringing so we can allocate groups\, between 2-6 pupils from year 5/6 (1 team per school). These may be a different group to your sports leaders. DESCRIPTION:Booking for 27th January  9.30-11.30 \n  \nWe would like to invite your school to a \nYear 3/4 Disney Active Literacy & Multiskills & Girls Football Activity \nLancaster & Morecambe College \non 27th January \n  \nLHSSN deliver Barclays Girls Football Partnerships work to help Lancaster\, Morecambe\, Heysham & South Lakes schools access various aspects of teacher training and resources.  One key area is ‘Shooting Stars’ which is based around Disney storytelling that becomes a multiskills and active literacy type activity.  It includes booklets based on The Lion King\, Aladdin\, Frozen 2\, Incredibles and Toy Story 4; that anyone can pick up and follow with teachers\, support staff and even sports leaders! \nPupils will move around a series of stations- They will be delivered by College Students with taster sessions based on the resources & some fun girls football based drills…. & we even hope to have face painting (please ask parents for allergy info beforehand). \nSchools must also be registered on this free FA website please! It’s full of resources and the possibility of getting your own staff trained in the Disney activities and download the resource booklets\, all free\, all part of our work. \n  \nSummary: \nTeams: Groups of 4-10\, girls only. \nA targeted group of pupils from year 3/4 \n27th January  9.30-11.30 \n  \n  \n\nPupils need PE kit\, trainers and a drink.  If you have any Disney costumes\, other related fancy dress\, or face paints we absolutely encourage you to use them!\nActivities will be multiskills based physical activity with a Disney Literacy Theme-Any local schools & South Lakes schools can now access resources and training because of work on this programme- more info on the Girl’s football and Disney schemes here: https://girlsfootballinschools.org/\nSchools should bring their own first aid kits.\nPlease arrive as close to your slot time as possible. SUMMARY:SSN Sportshall Athletics Qualifier- Lancaster Area Schools
DESCRIPTION:BOOKING AREA FOR LANCASTER’S PRIMARY SCHOOLS \nDear Colleague \nI would like to invite your school to enter the LANCASTER Year 5/6 Sportshall Athletics Qualifier competition at Lancaster and Morecambe College on Thursday 16th January\, prompt arrival from 10.15 for 10.45 start and approx. 2.30 finish.  For info; Heysham Schools are 14th January. The event will be delivered by the fantastic LMC staff and leaders who already organise the year 5 and 6 Sports hall Athletics League.  School teams should consist of a minimum of 9 girls and 9 boys\, with a maximum of 15 girls and 15 boys being permitted. They may compete in a maximum of two track and two field events. \n  \nThis event will act as a feeder for the Lancashire School Games County Finals\, meaning the highest placed Lancaster area school AND the highest placed Heysham area school will have the opportunity of representing our areas at the Level 3 County event which is on 19th March 2025 at Blackpool Stanley Park\, invites to follow to winning schools. Barry ‘Mr Sportshall’ Robson will again be leading on our local event as part of his work with us and your LHSSN memberships- thanks for your support. \n  \n\n5/6 Sportshall Athletics County Qualifier\n16th January 10.15 start-2.30pm – Deadline to enter is 6th\nParking and drop off/collection for all Lancaster and Morecambe College events MUST be accessed from the rear of the college off Torrisholme Road- please inform any parents. DESCRIPTION:THIS EVENT IS FOR LVSSCO MEMBERS ONLY \n2024-25 LVSSCO MS Invitation \nEvent details: \n\nDue to this event being delivered during school time\, no spectators can attend sorry.  We can’t run the event and police parents entering/leaving site.  We need the Carnforth High teachers to do this\, and they will all be teaching.\nFun KS1 Multi-Skills event\nCarnforth High sports hall and astro\nThursday 16th January\n10.00am start\, approx. 12.30pm finish\nTeams of 10\, no gender ratio\nFormat: Participants will rotate around several Multi-Skills games including travelling\, throwing & catching\, dodgeball type activities.
