SUMMARY:SSN Year 3/4 Sportshall League
DESCRIPTION:Dear Colleague\, \nI would like to invite your school to enter the LHSSN Year 3/4 Sportshall Athletics League at Lancaster and Morecambe College commencing on Thursday 30th January\, prompt arrival for 16.00 start and approx. 17.15 finish each week.  We envisage each school would be involved in between 2-4 sessions each.  Exact fixtures will be sent out once we know which schools are entering. The event will be delivered by Barry for LHSSN. \n  \nSchool teams should consist of a minimum of 8 girls and 8 boys.  They may compete in a maximum of 2 track and 2 field events per night. The definitive format will be dependent upon the number of entries.  However\, in order to maximise competition and reduce both transport needs and volunteer numbers\, an event based programme is possible with teams participating in 5 events per week (with the likelihood of the full event programme being held over 2 weeks).  All events will be team based with relay races and combined field event scores.  Each week will combine 2 running events\, 2 jumps and a throwing event. \n  \n\n30th January will be a practice session with league fixtures; 6/2/25; 27/2/25; 6/3/25; 13/3/25\, 20/3/25. Please tick the boxes in the table below for which sessions you can/cannot attend and Barry will try to accommodate you in the fixtures; send to barryrobson07@gmail.com\n\n\n\n\nSchool name:\n30/1 (Practice)\n6/2\n27/2\n6/3\n13/3\n20/3\nNotes\n\n\nSchool Contact:\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n\nCan attend\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n\nCan’t attend\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n  \n\n 3/4 Sportshall Athletics League\n 30th January 16.00 start 17.15 approx finish – Deadline to enter is 10th January\nParking and drop off/collection for all Lancaster and Morecambe College events MUST be accessed from the rear of the college off Torrisholme\n\nRoad- please inform any parents. SUMMARY:SSN Mental Health & Wellbeing Leaders year 4/5/6 Pupils
DESCRIPTION:Booking for SSN Mental Wellbeing Leaders: Friday 21st March 11.45-2:45 \n  \nWe will be hosting a mental health & wellbeing session for your yr 5/6 pupils with support from the sports students from the University of Cumbria\, Sports Complex. It is an opportunity for pupils to work on growth mind-set\, communication\, teamwork\, defining mental health & wellbeing and developing those all-important life skills. Hopefully\, they can also then support your school’s sport and activity offer. \nThey will move around a series of stations with other schools and have a go at each area. Please ensure you let us know how many pupils\, approximately\, you plan on bringing so we can allocate groups\, between 2-6 pupils from year 5/6 (1 team per school). These may be a different group to your sports leaders. Ideally\, think about pupils with a\ngood level of maturity and empathy\, or who are good communicators with staff and pupils alike. \nMental Health & Wellbeing Day- Stations would look something like: \nEveryone will move around together as 1 bigger group. \n11.45-12.15 Pupils are able to have their packed lunch together and start developing those social skills! \n1) Sportshall- Barry/Dan – Working together: Resilience\, Communication\, Growth Mind-set \n2) Sportshall 2- UoC students & Steven/Dan- Theory & Discussion Area- What is mental health & wellbeing\, what to look for\, how can we help? \n3) Astro 3 & outdoor- Whatever the weather; Dan- Being a friend & making the most of the outdoors \n4) Sportshall- Millie & UoC- Having fun- Smile\, Move & Dance! \n  \nSummary: \n\nPupils need appropriate PE kit\, trainers and a drink.
