DESCRIPTION:As part of the ‘new SSN’ those SSN member schools with ‘Events Level 2&3’ and are not allocated to other SSCO clusters have an opportunity to enjoy events specifically for them\, as such… \n  \nWe would like to invite your school to a Lancaster & Heysham SSN-  Lancaster Cluster Handball Competition \nI would like to invite your school to enter the LHSSN Year 5-6 Handball mini competitions at Lancaster and Morecambe College on \nThursday 12th November- Girls only \nThursday 19st November- Mixed (no ratio requirements) \n  \nLimited numbers so initially 1 team per school\, though please enter twice should you want 2 teams and we will confirm after the deadline. \n  \nArrival for 15.45 start and approx. 17.30 finish.  If you feel you will arrive late please contact Barry to arrange fixtures appropriately. \n  \nThere will be an introductory practice for familiarisation with the sport prior to a competition. \nThe event will be delivered by Barry for LHSSN. \n  \n\nTeams can be up to 10 children with 7 being on court at any one time.\nRotating substitutions will be permitted throughout the tournament.\nEach session will be an introduction and friendly competitions/festival style to allow more schools to be involved. DESCRIPTION:We would like to invite your school to a Lancaster & Heysham SSN’s Boccia & Kurling Competition \nat University of Cumbria Sports Hall (off Wyresdale Road)\, on  \nTuesday 24th November\, 9.30-12.00 \n  \nSchools should select a team of 4-6 KS2 pupils who must be on the SEND register.  Schools may bring groups of up to 6 but only 4 will be playing at any one time.  We will have both Boccia and Kurling events one after the other depending on entries with Boccia first followed by Kurling- it will be a competitive event with the chance to progress on to county rounds and will be supported by UoC students. \n  \nSummary: \n  \nTeams: Teams of 4 but groups of up to 6 allowed- may be boys\, girls or mixed. Strictly only SEND Pupils from KS2. \n  \n24th November 9.30 start-12.00 (arrival from 9:15) \n  \n\nIndoors in the sportshall – access via the usual reception/sportshall).\nBoccia & Kurling competitions\nPlease email jamieson.sm@gmail.com if you have a boccia or kurling set that you could possibly bring along on the day.  We have some but could possibly use a couple more.\nDrop off & parking available on site or for buses there is space on Wyresdale Road & at Williamson Park car park.\nSchools should bring their own first aid kit.\nNo Spectators.\nPlease arrive on time. DESCRIPTION:THIS EVENT IS FOR BLA SSCO MEMBER SCHOOLS ONLY. \nInvitation emailed. \nDetails of the competition are as follows:\n● Scheduled for Wednesday 10th February\n● Start at 3.15pm\, finish approx. 5.45pm\n● Venue: BLA Sports Hall\n● Select from relevant year groups.\nRoutine Information:\n● Acro routine\, lasting maximum of 2 minutes\n● 9 moves\, pick one from each row A to I from the accompanying gymnastics document\, pick based on\nyour gymnast’s ability.\n● The skills increase in difficulty from columns 1-3. Column 1 being the easiest version and column 3\nbeing the most difficult version\n● Routines should include choreography that mirrors the tone and feel of the music. Transition moves\nsuch as: cat leaps\, step ball changes\, skipping\, etc should also be used to ensure pupils use the whole\nof the space provided and to link skills together\n● Pick your own music – lyrics are permitted but should not include any Disney songs or musicals\n● Each pair marked out of 10 – 8 points for 9 moves + 1 point for timing and linking actions + 1 point for\ngeneral impression and fluidity\n● Team Prizes (trophy & medals) AND Individual pair prizes (medals) including separate Boys Only/Girls\nOnly/Mixed pairs\n● Squads of up to 10 (minimum 6)\, split off into pairs\, top 3 pairs scores count towards team score.
