NOW FULL

Event is now on!  Hosted at Vale of Lune RUFC.

PLEASE SPECIFY EXPECTED NUMBERS OF PLAYERS/TEAMS ON NOTES SECTION OF ALL BOOKINGS, THANKS

Limited to 12 schools, squads of 10.

For SSN schools - Making the most of the buzz around the current Rugby World Cup, and working alongside Morecambe Community Sports Rugby Coach, Martin Powell, and students from Lancaster University, we’ll be delivering a ‘Rural & Small Schools or Large Schools B/C Teams Tag Rugby Festival’; 16th October 9.30-12.00!  It will be a participatory, fun, event and an opportunity for pupils who don’t normally get the chance to represent your school to get involved.  It is not about the winning school but more about getting ‘all’ pupils participating.  Furthermore, there will be training for your pupils on the day so you don’t even have to train them, just bring along a group of children who deserve the chance to play alongside other schools!  There will be no ‘winning school’.

The day will be roughly as follows:

Date- Wednesday 16th October 9.30-12.00

Venue- Vale of Lune Rugby Club

9.30 start

Coaching and Tag Rugby based games 9.40-10.40

Break 10.40-10.50

Tag Rugby Matches 10.50-11.50 (friendly, fun matches, no overall winners! Think participation!)

11.50-12.00 Closing address and depart

From any of year 4, 5, 6 or a mixed group?  First come, first served!

Squads of up to 10, 7-a-side for games so consider this.  Mixed, no minimum numbers of boys/girls, year 4,5,6.

Please specify the number of pupils you intend to bring and their year group/s.

It is a grass pitch so studs are recommended and unless it’s really unsuitable we’ll try and go ahead- Rugby should be muddy!  So please dress appropriately, coats can be worn underneath bibs/tags so wrap up and enjoy the day!

If you wish to enter please let me know how many teams you’d like to be involved no later than 8th October.
