We would like to invite your school to a Lancaster & Heysham SSN

Year 3/4 Disney Active Literacy & Multiskills Activity

University of Cumbria Sports Complex- Astroturf & Sportshall,

on Friday 29^th April or Friday 13^th May

The events will run in separate sessions dependant on entries.  Times can be tweaked to suit your school lunches etc...

 THIS IS SESSION 3

Schools can pick one of the session times and should try to select a targeted group of pupils from years 3/4.  Again, looking at your feedback, basic skills, fitness levels and Covid catch up are issues that we can hopefully help with here.  You may bring a full class but if possible please try to target specific pupils who you feel would benefit most. Perhaps consider pupils who do not often get chance to represent their school or are less able/active than most. Hopefully it’ll free up time and space in school for those year groups involved in SATs around this time. The University’s 1^st Year Sports Coaching & PE Students are going to prepare a series of challenges for your pupils to complete and enjoy- they will need to move around and work effectively as a team!

 

Summary:

Teams: Groups of 8-30, girls preferred but can be mixed.

A targeted group of pupils from year 3/4

(Start/finish times can be adjusted slightly if it helps but please request when booking):

Session 1- Friday 29^th April 10.00-12.00

Session 2- Friday 29^th April 1.00-3.00

 

Session 3- Friday 13^th May 10.00-12.00

Session 4- Friday 13^th May 1.00-3.00

 

• Pupils need PE kit, trainers and a drink. 
• Activities will be multiskills based physical activity with a Disney Literacy Theme-Any of our local schools can get more info on the Girl’s football and Disney schemes here: https://girlsfootballinschools.org/

• Schools should bring their own first aid kits.
• If you’re coming in a minibus, please advise us prior.
• No Spectators.
• Please arrive as close to your slot time as possible. Any problems please let us know.
• 1 group per school.
• We have a limit of 60 per session and it’ll be first come first served- once it’s full we will close bookings.
