Event description

BOOKING FOR SESSION 2- 11.00-12.30

 

For any of Lancaster's small schools & Heysham's small but SSN members only;

Must have less than 100 in the school from year 1-6.

 

We would like you to invite you to send a group of pupils for fun Crown Green Bowling event.  For Lancaster small and rural schools or those schools which are part of the Lancaster & Heysham School Sport Network only;  it will be completely free of charge to you! If you are unsure please ask on [email protected] before booking.

This Crown Green Bowling event will be funbased and any scoring will be on The School Games Values of Determination, Honesty, Respect, Teamwork, Passion, & Self-Belief.  It is ideally for pupils who may need some support in developing confidence, social interaction, or reengaging after Covid, or those who don't usually excel at other sports- it is a really easy game to have some relative success with no prior experience needed.  It does not need to be your best sportspeople and full briefing and coaching will be provided on the day so you simply need to pick a team.  Please don't use those pupils who will have other countless opportunities throughout the year.

The day will be roughly as follows:

Date- Thursday 22^nd September;

Slot 1: Morning 9.00-10.30

Slot 2: Morning 11.00-12.30

Venue- Grass Bowling Greens at Highfield, Lancaster, LA1 3ES

We have a maximum of 80 pupils in each slot so please let me know if you’d like to attend and which slots you can attend.  Teams will be between 5-20 pupils per school.  We need to know (PLEASE ADD TO NOTES OR EMAIL [email protected]);

 

• A)       If you’d like to attend
• B)       How many pupils you would like to bring (minimum and maximum) and their age group.
• C)       Which slot/s.
• D)      If you’d like to book a pre/post festival coaching session (please contact Dan to book that).

 

We want as many schools involved as possible and ideally 3 schools per session.

Mixed, no minimum numbers of boys/girls, year 3/4/5/6.

It is a grass surface so no high heels (pupils or staff!), trainers ideally. It will be outside so please be prepared for slight showers.  In the event of heavy rain, we will have to cancel, there is no indoor option.
