ST PETERS 2018 DISTRICT FOOTBALL CHAMPIONS
Congratulations St Peters for winning the Year 5/6 Danone Cup Football Qualifier at Lancaster & Morecambe College on Monday 8th October 2018. We had 24 teams competing from various schools across the district, the standard was amazing.
The event was split between Heysham area schools and Lancaster area schools, with St Peters (Heysham) and Cathedral (Lancaster) eventually meeting each other in the District Final. A really tight contest went to extra time Golden Goal, with St Peters coming out on top and will now go one to represent Heysham area at the County event - Danone Cup, an event they managed to win last year.
Special mention to Cathedral, who had a fantastic tournament and fielded the Player of the Tournament - his work ethic, skill and team work showed, with many schools commenting on how good he was. He will also get a chance to compete at the Danone Cup and the rest of his team as Cathedral will represent Lancaster area.
