SLYNE WITH HEST: BLA SSCO HIGH 5 CHAMPIONS

Congratulations to Slyne with Hest who managed to win the 2019 Bay Leadership Academy SSCO Programme High 5 Netball tournament on a sunny afternoon in Heysham.  There were 10 different schools involved, some bringing multiple teams, meaning we had 15 teams competing against each other.  It was a group, then a knockout competition.

• St Peters
• Westgate x2
• Overton St Helens x2
• Bolton le Sands x2
• Trumacar
• Slyne with Hest x2
• West End
• Sandylands

The positive atmosphere was amazing, with all participants representing their schools well, with maximum effort and great attitudes shown by all. 

Well done to St Peters (Silver medals) and Bolton le Sands (Bronze medals) for coming second and third.  Congratulations to a Westgate pupil as she was selected by our leaders as the BLA Star Award Winner.

Special mention to the teachers, who donned their whistles and umpired their own games to give them a great insight into what it is like to be an umpire/referee.  They were magnificent.
