CARNFORTH SSCO X COUNTRY CHAMPS: WARTON

Congratulations to Warton Archbishop Hutton Primary School, who managed to win the Carnforth SSCO Programme Cross Country event.  There were 8 different schools involved, including:

• Nether Kellet
• Arkholme
• Silverdale
• Caton Primary
• OLOL
• Christchurch
• Carnforth Primary

Schools were encouraged to bring as many year 5/6 students as they wanted, we had over 160 boys and girls taking part and all of them performed really well. We had 4 races, with everyone running a mile long course which had some big hills which really tested the students.

The event was a mix of individual awards for the top 3 in each race, and a team aspect where the top 5 in every race accumulated points for their school, with the school with the most points winning the Cross Country trophy. It was Warton who managed to beat the rest and lift the trophy.

Special thanks to Warton Archbishop Hutton for hosting a brilliant event and for their parents who came in especially for the event to volunteer.
