Commonwealth Games Baton- Lancaster & Heysham

The preperations for a home Commonwealth Games are starting... and it will only get more exciting!  

On the weeks of 6th and 13th June we will have our own Lancashire county-wide Baton Relay passing through our areas.  Moving from school to school as we come together to celebrate physical activity and school sport.  We'd love your school to be involved, please ;let us know if you're interested.  Lancaster Schools 6th June, Heysham 13th June.  The baton will then continue it's journey through Lancashire to meet us all at the Lancashire School Games Celebration on 5th July.

To compliment this and enhance the build up we have a 'Design a baton' competition for Year 5s, and 'Write a decree' for year 6s- with each having it's own powerpoint and videos to support any lessons or assemblies for your classes.  As well as our own Green Gym Commonwealth Gardens.... and our virtual dance event for the chance to represent our areas at Blackpool's Winter Gardens!
