QUERNMORE & SLYNE WITH HEST GIRLS QUALIFY
Congratulations to Quernmore and Slyne with Hest who managed to qualify for the upocoming primary Girls Football County tournament in the new year. They the were highest placed Lancaster area school and Heysham area school and will now go on to represent our areas and compete against the best teams from Lancashire.
It was great to see 11 teams competing in the qualifying event. Thank you to:

- Grosvenor Park

For all taking part, players and staff were amazing.
The teams were split into two groups, and all played each other in a round robin, with the top 2 teams from each group going forward to the knockout stages. Slyne with Hest and Great Wood from Group A and Quernmore and Grosvenor Park from Group B.
In the knockout stages , Slyne beat Great Wood and Quernmore beat Grosvenor Park, who had a depleted team due to their school nativity. Great Wood won bronze medals in the 3rd/4th playoff. In a tightly contested final between Quernmore and Slyne with Hest, it was Quernmore who won the match 1-0 and were crowned Dirstict Girls football champions, with Slyne picking up Silver medals.
